Pocket Lap started as a group chat where three friends kept sending each other links to games and arguing about which ones were worth the storage space. At some point we figured we might as well write it all down properly instead of losing the messages every week.,We focus on racing and arcade titles because that's what we know best, but we branch out whenever something catches our eye. Every game on the site was installed on a real phone and played for at least a few hours before we said anything about it.,The way we pick games is simple: we look at what people are talking about, what pops up in our feeds, and what our readers ask about. Then we play it. If it's boring or broken, we say so. If it surprises us, we get a bit loud about it.,Nobody here gets paid to praise a game. The reviews are opinions from actual play sessions, warts and all, and we'd rather lose a reader than pretend a clunky game is great.
